Museum and Gallery Services Queensland works to serve, promote and foster excellence in Queensland's museums, galleries and keeping places, to build their value to Queensland communities.
Museum and Gallery Services Queensland manages a comprehensive touring exhibitions program to provide access to contemporary visual arts practice for regional communities. The program encompasses exhibitions of art history, craft, social history, indigenous culture, architecture and design. M&GSQ tours exhibitions to venues throughout Queensland and interstate and provides developmental and tour management support to Queensland galleries, curators and arts organisations.
Museums and Gallery Services Queensland (MAGSQ) is assisted by the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body and by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, its key arts funding, advisory and advocacy body for arts and cultural development.
