
Country Arts SA, on behalf of the South Australian and Australian Governments, provides grant funding and programs supporting arts and community cultural development and is the principal provider of arts programs to regional South Australia. Country Arts SA endeavours to ensure access to a full range of arts and cultural experiences which enrich people's lives, contribute to their well being and growth of sustainable regional South Australian communities.
Country Arts SA-Visual Arts Touring Program provides regional South Australian communities with access to quality visual arts, craft and design exhibitions, while also promoting through exhibition the work of South Australian artists nationally. The emphasis on contemporary visual arts practice acknowledges the need to promote innovation, education, growth and conceptual and technical development across South Australia. The Program assists with the development of infrastructure for regional galleries and artists and provides professional advice on touring, conservation, packing, freight and display.
The Visual Arts Touring Program initiates exhibitions independently and in partnership with other South Australian, interstate and overseas arts organisations to produce a high quality and diverse program of touring exhibitions, well resourced with invitations, posters, catalogues, education kits, installation advice and media packs.
Country Arts SA-Visual Arts Touring Program of is jointly funded by The Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments and the Visual Arts/Craft Board of the Australia Council for the Arts.
